Professor Watanabe visited the School of Advanced Technologies in Medicine and TUMS Core Facility

Professor Watanabe, the head of the department of Dental Materials at Nagasaki University in Japan, with Dr.Valanezhad, faculty member of Dental materials, visited School of Advanced Technologies in Medicine (SATiM) and TUMS Core Facility on Sunday 29 September.

In this meeting Dr.Ahmadian Dean of school, Dr.Ghanbari deputy of education, Dr.Faridi deputy of research and Dr.Lotfi deputy of International affairs introduced SATiM departments and discussed the research projects. The ways of student and faculty members exchange was reviewed. During this two-hour visit, the tendency of school towards the scientific and research cooperation with other international institutions was emphasized.

Professor Watanabe expressed his willingness to make collaboration between two departments and offered his laboratory facilities for student exchange. He also explained how to approach collaboration with other departments in Nagasaki University.

Dr Hassanpour, executive director of TUMS Core Facility, was present while Professor Watanabe paid a visit to the Core Facility.

Then, in the presence of executive director of TUMS Core Facility, Dr Hassan pour, the process of offering laboratory services and proper solutions for the use of this facility was discussed.

At the end, Dr. Ahmadian dean of the SATiM indicated that the purpose of the visit is international cooperation and emphasized the necessity for establishing the effective collaboration between TUMS and Nagasaki Core facility under the agreement between two universities.
