Overview

.The School of Advanced Technologies in Medicine (SATiM) at Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) announces a competitive call for student study mobility to Sabancı University, Istanbul, Türkiye

.This mobility program aims to strengthen academic collaboration, support joint research activities, and enhance the international experience of SATiM graduate students

Eligibility Criteria

:Applicants must meet all of the following requirements

 Enrollment Status

• Must be a full-time Master’s or PhD student in the School of Advanced Technologies in Medicine.

 Academic Progress

• PhD students: Successful completion of the comprehensive examination.
• Master’s students: Completion of at least one academic semester with a minimum overall GPA of 95%.

 Language Proficiency

• Possession of an acceptable English language proficiency level, suitable for study and research activities at Sabancı University.

 Special Advantage

• Applicants who possess an approved joint research proposal with a faculty member at Sabancı University are given additional consideration during evaluation.

Selection Principles

:Selection will be based on

• Academic excellence
• Research capacity and relevance of proposed work
• English proficiency
• Alignment of applicant’s research with ongoing collaborations between TUMS and Sabancı University
• Fairness, transparency, and merit-based evaluation (as required by Erasmus+ policies) 

A Selection Committee appointed by SATiM will finalize the results within two weeks after the deadline

Documents Required for Application

• CV
• Copy of your academic transcript(s)
• Proof of English proficiency
• If applicable: Approved joint research proposal with a Sabancı University faculty member

Timeline of Mobility

• Mobility should be conducted within the academic year according to Sabancı University’s academic calendar.
• Maximum duration: 4 months (120 days), excluding travel time.

Funding and Grants

Monthly Grant

• 800 EUR per month for up to 4 months.

Travel Grant

.Calculated based on the official Erasmus+ distance bands

Special Needs Support

Students with physical, mental, or health-related conditions may apply for additional financial support, following Erasmus+ guidelines. Sabancı University’s Disability Office and SU International Relations Office will assist in the process.

Nomination and Admission

• Selected candidates are nominated by SATiM to Sabancı University.
• Sabancı University will issue official admission letters for visa processes and onboarding.

Payment Procedure

• Grant payments will be made upon arrival at Sabancı University.
• The Sabancı University International Relations Office will guide students through financial and administrative procedures.

After the Mobility

:Students must submit the following

• Learning Agreement (After the Mobility section)
• Boarding passes (upon return)
• Online Mobility Tool report (survey link provided by SU IRO)
