Message of the Dean

In the name of the One who taught the soul to think

The establishment of the School of Advanced Technologies in Medicine has the overarching goal of training skilled and efficient specialists. These individuals, with a proper understanding of scientific and technological advancements in various medical fields, are expected to take the necessary and appropriate steps by conducting applied and innovative research aimed at providing technological services in the health sector and producing knowledge-driven products.

Undoubtedly, achieving this goal requires meticulous operational planning by all the school’s vice-dean offices and the clear definition of roles for all faculty components, including esteemed faculty members, students, and staff. These efforts aim to realize the school’s lofty objectives in knowledge and technology production and to establish a network of excellence and mission-oriented activities across various domains of medical technology. Accordingly, it is essential to enhance the school’s academic structures in line with its operational programs and to create mechanisms necessary for technological development.

Above all, our primary mission at the school is to precisely define technology and clarify its role in various fields of medical sciences. This entails continuously identifying and monitoring technological needs in medical sciences across prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. The goal is to establish a structured, purpose-driven, and needs-oriented collaboration between the school and other basic and clinical sciences departments, ensuring mutual benefit.

The school’s envisioned role is to serve as a symbol of technological development and innovation, creating solutions to commercialize research outcomes within the university. It is expected that practical and applicable models for industry collaboration, engagement with knowledge-based companies, and wealth creation from scientific achievements will become institutionalized within the school.

Clearly, the implementation of this mission depends on encouraging and supporting our esteemed faculty members to participate in applied research projects addressing technological needs. This must be accompanied by cultivating a culture of innovation and technology, guiding student theses towards innovation, and increasing students’ motivation for entrepreneurship and idea generation.

In this regard, we must recognize and utilize the school’s strengths, including its highly skilled and creative faculty, talented and motivated students, and dedicated and enthusiastic staff. Moreover, we must seize golden opportunities to establish purposeful connections with reputable national and international scientific and technological centers. This includes fostering high-level scientific output and transferring technical knowledge through collaborations with domestic and international knowledge-based companies.

With reliance on God Almighty's grace and the collaboration and solidarity of all colleagues, as well as maximizing the educational, research, and technological capacities of the school, we hope to take effective steps towards advancing the comprehensive programs of the school.

And success is granted by God.
