The Department of Applied Cellular Sciences at the School of Advanced Technologies in Medicine began its activities in 2012 with the goal of training skilled and competent professionals in the fields of regenerative medicine and cell therapy. This department, utilizing core faculty members as well as secondary faculty members from related clinical fields, has created an interdisciplinary platform to advance research in areas such as stem cells, regenerative medicine, and immune cell therapy. This allows for the implementation of advanced research in areas such as cellular differentiation, cell-based therapies, and the development of models for complex diseases. Every year, between 2 to 5 doctoral students are admitted to this field, participating in research projects with direct applications in clinical medicine.
