Neuroscience

Neuroscience focuses on understanding the mental and physical state of an individual resulting from the activity of the nervous system at molecular, cellular, organismal, and societal levels. This department was established with the goal of educating and conducting research on the nervous system to understand how the brain functions and to find new therapeutic methods. The Department of Neuroscience began admitting students in 2008, alongside the establishment of the faculty, and since then, students interested in this field have been admitted annually.

Addiction Studies

The Addiction Studies Department studies risk-taking and pleasure-seeking behaviors that have become obsessive. Research, education, and exploration of this disorder, which has psychological, social, and economic consequences, are among the goals of this department. This group also started admitting students when the faculty was established, and continues to admit students every year.

Medical Imaging Sciences and Technologies

The field of Medical Imaging Technology is a multidisciplinary area that uses various advanced and up-to-date imaging methods, techniques, and protocols to enhance and improve diagnostic services for human diseases. Students in this field are trained in the fundamental physics and engineering principles of imaging systems and the signals that form the images. They learn about modern and accurate anatomical, physiological, and metabolic imaging techniques and work towards improving and expanding the use of these techniques. This faculty began admitting students in 2019 in the field of Medical Imaging Sciences and Technologies, with a specialization in neural imaging.
